Encyclopedia Dramatica (abbreviated as ED) is a satire wiki founded in 2004 by Sherrod DeGrippo, the wiki good for documenting things wrong with said topic and are known to host their internet raids (although this is not the case anymore since nobody gives a shit about ED). In their ED is Not article, they say that their purpose is to document internet drama and drama only. Which was later ignored and never even changed because both admins and users don't have time to read every single ED Policy article. The current people who edit and host this site are unfortunately oldfag larpers and people who have no clue about internet culture.

Their content (supposedly on purpose) is mostly just template spam and lots of hyperlinks to the "Niggers" and "Faggot" page. Most people who edit pages will be too afraid to include newer jokes in the article, since they would be out of character for ED. It has been like this since 2008. Most articles read more like a post from 4chan in 2008 with alot of da LULZ, INTERNETZ!!! and [[You]] plastered all over the articles. Most newgens who write articles for the wiki only do so because the subject of the article pissed them off.

EDfags have recently accused us of launching DoS attacks against their site despite having no proof of doing so, and their only "evidence" is that so called "foodists" have invaded EDF to protest against NEVER GOON despite us not being affiliated with foodists since the group is dead in the water.

How to troll ED users

• Be yourself
• Report them to their domain registrar
• Tell them that thugposting is dead and not funny anymore.
• Tell them that McNutt/Floyd/mass-shootings aren't funny anymore
• Tell them they're a bunch of oldfag larpers, or oldfags who can't get over the past

"Humor"

ED being 20 years old, has roots with 4chan during the 2000's. A lot, if not almost all of the articles written on ED are influenced by the humor from that era. Due to this, newgens will read through the articles and write articles that mimic the style that oldfags of the time wrote. This, unpredictably, resulted in almost every single article being unfunny slop with alot of the LULZ and generally tryhard insults being thrown around, with little to no substance given to the articles themselves.

ED was made in December 2004 by Girlvinyl (Real name: Sherrod DeGrippo), who was a DOE counterintel agent at the time, made the site to originally document LiveJournal drama. It would later attract people from 4chan, GNAA, Bantown, and others in later 2005. Girlvinyl was known as the queen of ED by it's users, this would later change in 2011 as she redirected the Encyclopedia Dramatica.com site to her KnowYourMeme clone (which only lasted 2 years), OhInternet. Now all of a sudden the former ED users hate the "Queen of ED", and decided to leak her nudes and harass her.

After this, Web Ecology Project published an archive of 9401 articles (over 9000 in oldfag larping terms) on ED that had been saved in total. Which was later used in the second website.

The .ch version was made by ViraL (Real name: Ryan Cleary). Ryan Cleary is known for being in the infamous script kiddie group, Lulzsec. Obviously, he eventually got caught like every Lulzsec member did and can no longer do his scary DDoS attacks and doxes. It was later found out he had Aspergers (makes sense) and had child porn saved on his drive at age 21.

The .se fork was made by Garrett E. Moore (Aka Zaiger). This was by far the best era of the site, the Main Page was beautiful, the logo looked decent, everything. Just kidding, there was scam and porn pop-up ads everywhere. Just clicking the search bar you will be greeted with porn. Garrett also said that he doesn't support making fun of underage people and doxing 14 year old girls (lame). He also reportedly had difficulty hosting the site too, and later was shut down in 2013. And then back up in 2014, but then back down in 2017. And then later back up in 2020, but then finally back down again the same year. After Zaiger fucked off, Conrad Rockenhaus (who is married and has kids by the way) picked up the track and proceeded to host .se until it went down and went back up as .rs in 2019. He later got arrested for hacking into his work systems to "fix" them, so this means ED is finally dead, right?

If you were foolish enough to think ED fully died out after nobody giving a shit about it in years, you would be very much mistaken. Aediot (Real name: Jacob Stellmach, aka assnapkins) brought it back yet again and in typical ED fashion, the site was often broken and would not load. Infighting at this time was nothing new, but this was no ordinairy infighting as the community had enough and created an .online version of ED as assnapkins was an incompetent retard. The breakup with his girlfriend (adezero) was an absolute shitshow, he thought he could gather approval from... Kiwi FUCKING FARMS?? and decided to post a thread about his breakup with his girlfriend and proceeded to get absolutely shat on by kiwitroons and EDiots alike.^{why on kiwi farms out of all places?}

Eventually, .wiki would be overshadowed by it's .online counterpart and in 2021, it finally died as assnapkins was arrested for stealing baby monitors. What a story!

.online was created in response of assnapkins being a retard. This was the most stable version of ED so far since .ch initially owned by Kaizen, but after him getting doxed the ownership went to PAX and where it would eventually end on December 4th 2023 where he thought enough is enough and shut it down for good.

This time, a 2020 newfag named MarioMario456 would revive it this time. He is a retard however who has registered domains under a hostile registrar (Namecheap) that would result in ED going down for a while. MarioMario456 is a 17 year old soytroon from Venezuela which makes him the first zoomer admin. The community has hated him for a while and a counterpart was created.

Eventually, 764 would make a "deal" with MarioMario456 (who wasn't even holding the domain/servers to begin with) to take ownership. NEVER GOON, who was the actual owner of .win, would later shut down .win due unironically stressing out due to not wanting to be "dealing with this massive ring of pedophiles". Making edramatica.com the only alternative.
